The True Grit Guide To The Enlightenment Book- Entitlement

Birthright does not equal entitlement:
Enlightenment is your birthright! Meaning that it is built within everyone's DNA, along with the fact that the Ascendant/Absolute is intimately connected as the foundation of EVERYTHING!

However, when it comes to entitlement (the idea that if it is your birthright, it is/will be/must be, graciously handed to you by the universe on a silver platter just because you are you), without commitment and focus there is no reason anything should be simply handed to you.

The simple physics involved is that interaction and mastery involves participation. In the book "Enlightenment", Patanjali says there are 3 things required for Ascension to work. From Pada 1 Sutra 2:

• "Systematically quieting/stilling the mind is the purpose of the Science of Yoga. It is not only natural, it is extremely easy. There are only 3 requirements.
• There must be 1) a functioning nervous system, capable of thought.
• There must be 2) a suitable vehicle for the mind to follow in this process of stilling, a vehicle that naturally and effortlessly pulls the mind inward to ever deeper levels of silence, until even the faintest level of activity is Ascended and the conscious mind experiences is true form, the higher Self.
• And there also needs to be 3) competent guidance to ensure the necessary feedback that verifies the correctness of the practice. Thus it is extremely difficult for tapes or books to teach techniques validly, for the third requirement is missing. Even if the prospective student is proceeding completely correctly, how would he or she ever know without verification from a qualified instructor?"

Imagine that you want to build a house. You go out to the local hardware store and buy all the carpentry tools you think you will need to get the job done. Now that you have them, will you expect that since you have the tools, that you will gain the experience and understanding in how to use the tools, or that the tools will magically imbue you with the wisdom to use them in the best way possible?
The answer should be NO, unless you live in a fantasy world of some sort.

As it is with anything you do, time is involved along with your participation and the ability to correctly or masterfully approach the goal. We generally accept that we can be taught by those who have mastered any trade or skill, by the teacher in any school of thought or university, in order to reach a level of understanding before we set ourselves firmly on the path towards a goal. There are some with the fortitude and commitment to set themselves on their path without such thoughts or need for instruction, and a few, thru trial and error have achieved success in their endeavors, but both approaches have commonality in the fact that effort in the form of commitment, focus and application of time is a standard in any form of mastery.

Ascension is a practical method in the approach to a goal. There are tools involved to help take the mind inward, and then there are practical methods of engaging the mind and the nervous system in recognition of the markers that differentiate the expansion of consciousness from the contraction of consciousness into boxes and paradigms of belief. 

We as individuals will readily claim that we know what makes us happy and what makes us uncomfortable or sad. But can we say that we can prevent suffering and sadness before it comes, or can we find contentment and peace within the world that includes suffering and sadness? Can we find fit form and function and thrive in the contrast that pushes us to be better, smarter or more successful in every area of concern?

There is a reason why there are successful people in the world and a reason why there are unsuccessful people in the world. It is not a matter of circumstance, but rather a matter of approach and understanding. We create our own reality, and we are responsible for our successes and our failures by the actions we take, and the understanding we have of the universe which will have an effect on the decisions and actions we take to create our future ahead of us.
