MSI - Most Influential Author Award

The most influential author in my life:
I have been a voracious reader most of my life. There have been great books and great authors that I have enjoyed and that I respect. But when I think of one singular greatest impact from a book, there is no contest. The one author that has changed my life and whose books I continue to read year after year is MSI (Maharishi Sadasiva Isham).
 
I first saw his books in a bookstore over seventeen years ago: Admittedly I was not impressed at first. I only skimmed through some of the pages and did not read the books. It took me another year to come back to that same bookstore and that same bookshelf when it really hit me. What he wrote and how he wrote was what I had been searching for, all along.
 
I read the five books by MSI within a month.
They pulled me into a world of such truth, adventure, profound insight, deep love, timelessness, divinity, the challenges of the human race over untold millennia and expansion of consciousness. I had never come across writing that so resonated, deep inside me.
 
There is always more to be found:
One thing that stands out even to this very day is that no matter how many times I have delved into his books, there is always more to be found, almost as if I hadn’t read the book hardly at all. Even after having translated some of the books later on, to another language, I still have that experience. It shows me how a writer of higher consciousness can create a multidimensional work that opens the different aspects of itself as the reader opens to receiving more.
 
The other significant impact of his writing:
In my experience, is that he has written five books and each of them are unique in its way of expressing the Truth. He covers the topic of consciousness and the Ishayas in such a wide variety of ways that it creates an almost unending source of inspiration and information.
 
“Perhaps you remember?”
He is touching the reader in subtle ways, evoking memories of what is real and what we can all recognize as truth. He is gently reminding all of us of the potential of the human heart in contact with the Divine and the Source of everything.
 
I don't know of any other writer of books who has brought forward the Truth in such simple and elegant way. I continue to read and sink into his writing as it always opens up to be more than what it was. What a dream of a voracious reader! What an adventure of a lifetime!
