Dinner Is Served - Perfect Meals to Accompany First Thunder

First Thunder's adventure of discovery takes us all over the world and as such has some great potential for meal paring while reading through this book. We will look at typical meal planning ideas as opposed to Sharon's frequent choice of huge bowls of freshly cut up fruit. Of course her meal plan is a fail safe option if none of the other options are appealing!

Our first dinner stop would be at the top of the Space Needle in Seattle Washington.

Martinis with green olives will start our evening dinner in memory of Dr. David Tucker's unusual addition to the Adventure of Discovery that was just beginning to form on the shores of the United States West Coast. However, if martinis aren't your thing, joining in a glass of chardonnay with our main character might be more appealing.

There are many wonderful things to eat while sitting in a restaurant located in the Pacific Northwest but to eat with the characters in this storyline we suggest the Lobster dinner for those with a healthy appetite like our male characters. If you feel like a lighter meal, you can always partake in fresh cut fruit and a dinner salad like Sharron.

Next we will dive into a delicious dinner in Athen's famous Turkish Harbor!

Since we have found ourselves on the shores of the Mediterranean sea it is only reasonable to be once again indulging in the local sea food. This time instead of lobster; scallops and prawn soup will be the choice to satisfy our hunger! While we are here we will also have to sample the local traditional wine flavored with wood pitch called retsina.

Before leaving Greece we have time for one more meal:
“No one felt like alcohol tonight; we all sipped lemon juice or Turkish coffee and sampled Aphrodite’s recommended snacks: dolmádes, grape leaves stuffed with rice and chicken and seasoned with grated onion and herbs, dzadzíki, a tangy yogurt dip with garlic and grated cucumbers, and taramosaláta, a pink spread made of gray mullet roe mixed with mashed potatoes, olive oil and lemon juice. We ate these with dark Greek bread and wondered how we’d possibly have room left for everything else we’d ordered: saláta choriátiki — Greek salads with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, radishes and olives topped with féta cheese, avgolemono soup made with chicken, rice and eggs and flavored with lemon juice as well as red mullet for Sharon and me, squid for the doctor and octopus for Steve and Aphrodite.”

As our time in Greece comes to an end, we look forward to our next dinner as we arrive in India at the far off monestary in the Himalayan mountains.

In India we are served with our best laid out dinner plans written in the book, courtesy of Hari and Lal. Here is a direct quote of our dinner menu: “There were mounds of pineapples, oranges, mangoes and papayas; four different kinds of breads — flat peppered tortilla-like papadams, fried chapattis, flaky puffs of puris and flat but soft parathas; seven kinds of chutneys; three different dahls — red, blue and green; white basmati rice — with and without saffron, onion and pineapple; curried potatoes with young spring peas; lassis; raita — cucumbers and vinegar in yogurt; fried chick-peas; mashed potatoes; pakoras — vegetables dipped in flour and fried; steamed cauliflower and broccoli; several dishes I had never seen before and sweet gulab jamuns and rice pudding for dessert.”

was born April 13, 1949 in Seattle, Washington.  After setting out in search of Truth, it was in the Himalayas that he found the ancient order of monks known as the Ishayas.  From them he learned the techniques collectively known as The Art of Ascension as taught by the Ishayas.

MSI eloquently writes about the Science the Practice and the Teaching of Ascension.

He desired that no attention be placed on  the “Author” but rather the focus be on the “Teaching.”
